The genuises of the British Parliament decided [in a split vote] this past Thursday, December 9th, 2010 that it’d be perfectly fine to hike up tuition fees, which would nearly triple the fees university students would be forced to pay annually and on a nation-wide basis. Needless to say, disgruntled [and rightly so] students had been protesting outside of the House of Parliament during the entire time the voting was taking place. The outcome of the verdict means that students would have to pay upwards of $14,000 per school year for tuition – completely out of line.
